✨ Is the 2027 Disney Deluxe Dining Plan Worth It for UK Guests?
Planning a 2027 trip to Walt Disney World from the UK? One of the biggest decisions you’ll face is whether to upgrade your dining plan — especially now that Disney has introduced a brand new Deluxe Table Service option for 2027.
Here’s everything UK travellers need to know
🍽️ What Is the 2027 Deluxe Table Service Dining Plan?
The Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan is the new top-tier dining option at Walt Disney World for 2027.
It’s designed for guests who want a more relaxed, sit-down dining experience — including access to Disney’s more premium restaurants.
What’s included (per person, per night):
2 Table-Service meals
1 Quick-Service meal
1 snack or drink credit
1 Resort-refillable mug
Each meal also includes a drink (including alcohol for adults), which can add serious value depending on where you dine.
🇬🇧 How UK Guests Get the Dining Plan (and Upgrade It)
If you’re booking from the UK, things work slightly differently compared to US guests.
The key difference:
UK guests often get “Free Dining & Drinks” offers included in their package.
For 2027:
Value resorts → Quick-Service plan
Moderate resorts → Quick-Service plan
Deluxe resorts → Standard (Table-Service) plan
✨ That means the Deluxe Table Service Dining Plan is NOT free — but you can pay to upgrade.

💡 What Makes the Deluxe Plan Different?
The biggest upgrade is simple:
✨ More sit-down meals
With 2 table-service credits per night, you can:
Do character dining (like princess meals)
Try signature restaurants (fine dining)
Turn credits into dinner shows or premium experiences
It’s a completely different pace compared to quick-service-heavy trips.

🍴 Who Is the Deluxe Table Service Dining Plan Best For?
This plan is NOT for everyone
✨It’s worth it if:
You love sit-down meals and breaks from the parks
You want character dining experiences
You plan to eat at signature/fine dining restaurants
You’re celebrating (honeymoon, big family trip, etc.)
✨It’s probably NOT worth it if:
You prefer quick meals and more ride time
You don’t want to plan reservations
You’re travelling with very young kids
You’re trying to save money
Don’t forget to check your holiday dates include the dining plan offer!
💭 Personal Take on 2-Credit Dining at Disney World
In my opinion, the Disney Dining Plan 2-credit restaurants aren’t really necessary for most families unless you’re specifically aiming for a more upscale dining experience.
I personally don’t feel (having dined at many, both 1 and 2 credits) that the character buffets are hugely different in experience compared to the 1-credit options, so using double credits there doesn’t always feel like the best value for money.
✨ A lot of the 2-credit restaurants are also located in Disney resort hotels, which means extra travel time when you’re already moving around the parks with kids. That added transport can feel like a lot after a full park day. On top of that, some of these restaurants aren’t always the most practical choice for families—for example, Cítricos at the Grand Floridian is stunning, but not always the easiest or most relaxed setting when you’ve got tired children in tow.
✨ From a practical point of view, it can also be quite challenging to plan even one sit-down meal a day when travelling with kids—especially during the first few days when you’re dealing with jet lag. Trying to manage two table-service meals in a single day can feel more stressful than enjoyable. Especially as realistically you will be booking these reservations 60 days in advance of your trip.
✨ Using 2 credits per meal also often leaves you with extra quick-service credits to use, which can end up being more food than most families actually need. Unless your Disney holiday is very focused on dining experiences rather than rides, shows, and time in the parks, it’s probably not the most practical use of credits for the average family trip.
🧠 My Verdict
The 2027 Deluxe Table Service Dining Plan is:
✅ Great for food-focused trips
✅ Ideal for first-time visitors wanting “the full Disney experience”
❌ Not necessary for most families
👉 For many UK guests, the sweet spot is:
Take the free standard dining plan
Upgrade selectively (or pay for a few special meals instead)
✈️ Final Thoughts
The introduction of the Deluxe Table Service Dining Plan for 2027 gives UK travellers more flexibility than ever — but it’s not automatically the best choice.
For most families, the 2-credit dining options are best saved for a “special occasion” meal rather than forming the core of your dining plan strategy. The flexibility of 1-credit meals and quick-service dining tends to fit much better with the pace of a Disney holiday—especially with children.
